Snow Babies

Snow Baby figurines were first created when Admiral Byrd explored the North Pole and he became a new father. Many cartoons were created depicting his baby girl in a snow suit playing in the North Pole. So many German porcelain factories started making "Snow Babies" to go with the popular new cartoons.

These tiny characters were created doing all types of things and events and just having fun in the snow. Of course they were delightful and millions were originally made and sent to America for the loving market of small collectibles.

The molds that I use are made in Germany by excellent artists that have captured the quality and detail of the old pieces a Century ago. No two snow babies are alike since each one is hand painted.
